What is ECU cloning?
ECU cloning is the process of transferring the security and configuration data from one ECU to another so that a replacement unit is recognised by the vehicle's immobiliser and will start the car correctly.
Can any ECU be cloned?
Most ECUs from common vehicle makes can be cloned using our equipment. Some newer or more encrypted systems require additional steps. Call us with your vehicle details and we will confirm feasibility before attending
Do you work on second-hand ECUs sourced by the customer?
Yes. If you have sourced a replacement ECU, we can clone your original data to it and program it to your vehicle. However we don't offer guarantee on it as we can't know if it's in good working condition.
Does ECU cloning affect my vehicle warranty?
If your vehicle is still under manufacturer warranty, check with your dealer before proceeding. For vehicles out of warranty, ECU cloning has no negative impact on the vehicle's operation.
Can you clone an ECU if the original is completely failed?
